Senshin-Ryu Goshin-Jutsu or 'SGJ' is the martial art system taught exclusively at the Shoshin Academy Dojo (Training Hall). This system is considered a gendai (modern) system with an emphasis on self defense and self mastery. The name of the system basically translates to Senshin (Enlightened Mind) Goshin (Self Defense) Jutsu (Art). In short, it means "Enlightened Self Defense Art".
Normally Goshin-Jutsu is based on traditional Japanese Jujutsu and is often called Gendai Sogo Bujutsu (Modern Composite Martial Art). There are many schools teaching different flavors of Goshin-Jutsu world wide.
